Community portal

The Coalition Portal offers an overview of Coalition initiatives, and a set of paths for newcomers to find where they can best learn and contribute to the work.

Please help us to create a better portal to the Coalition of the Willing, to help channel people to where they can best learn and contribute.

People will want to get involved in the use of the new platform-functions, or in their construction and ongoing development.

We’ll want to have clear means of involvement for individuals, and for groups/organizations. Platform developers and Sites that should be part of the Coalition are subsets of these.

Welcome, and we hope you join the community.

Orwell’s advice
Writing honestly and clearly – read Politics and the English Language, by George Orwell. Orwell’s suggested rules are:

Never use a metaphor, simile, or other figure of speech which you are used to seeing in print.
Never use a long word where a short one will do.
If it is possible to cut a word out, always cut it out.
Never use the passive where you can use the active.
Never use a foreign phrase, a scientific word, or a jargon word if you can think of an everyday English equivalent.
Break any of these rules sooner than say anything outright barbarous.
